Tiny Roots Farm is a 1 acre no-till mixed vegetable and microgreens farm located in Litchfield, ME.  We participate in 2 southern Maine farmers markets from May- November, have a small Free Choice CSA and an on farm self serve farm stand. 

We are looking for some extra hands on the farm to help with all daily tasks that include but are not limited to :

- bed prep, planting, weeding, harvesting, washing packing, pruning and general maintenance of the farm

- weekly seedling starting, maintaining and care

- weekly microgreens production schedule

- possibility to help with infrastructure around the farm 

- Attending our Saturday farmers market to help keep the tables stocked with fresh produce. 

We are looking for 1-2 people either full time or part time. Work weeks will be from Tuesday - Saturday.  Exact hours and dates will be discussed on an individual basis. 

Applicants need to have the following skills:

- ability to lift 50 lb

-ability to work standing, kneeling, bending, walking, for periods of time in the work day in all weather conditions. 

- ability to take directions and work alone or in a group.

- be willing to ask questions, learn new things and communicate. 

- be dependable and trustworthy and perform detailed and quality work throughout the day.  

- Must have transportation to and from job and arrive on time

- No prior farming experience is required. But applicants should have a desire to learn and grow their knowledge on a fast paced high production farm.

 

April- November 

Looking for 1-2 people depending on their availability. 

Full or part time, with attending a Saturday farmers market to stock tables (end of May- mid October) 

$17-19 hour 

- $40 fresh vegetables a week  

- working with your hands and the ability to grow fresh, local, organic food 

- end of season bonus for working entire season 

Tiny Roots has a strong focus on soil health and works hard to maintain and improve the ecosystem on the farm.  We care a great deal about the quality, freshness, and value of our products and how they are perceived by our customers. We enjoy the farm and enjoy the work even on the toughest of farming days. We are looking for applicants who have some of these same desires and can help around out the farm.
